Mazin has an impressive track record, including the design and management of mega projects such as the Doha Metro, Riyadh Metro, and Etihad Rail. His extensive expertise in advanced numerical modelling and complex geotechnical problem-solving will be a tremendous asset to our team and clients.

With 30 years’ experience in consulting, academic and public sector fields, Frank roles and skillset include geotechnical design, project and people management and business development.

He possesses extensive international geotechnical experience and knowledge which includes analysis, design, and construction monitoring. He holds strong capabilities in managing multiple workstreams, problem solving and navigating through ambiguity. These skills have allowed him to serve in leadership positions in normal and exceptional circumstances. He is a focused and driven individual capable of working efficiently, both cross functional teams and independently.

Frank’s expertise covers the full lifecycle of geotechnical projects—from feasibility assessments through to design, construction monitoring, and site supervision. He has contributed to and led major works involving earth structures, landfills, pile and shallow foundations, retaining walls, treatment plants, industrial developments, flood protection systems, and tunnelling infrastructure.

Dr Azam Khan has a PhD Degree in Structural Engineering from Imperial College London.  He has around 15 years of experience as a structural design engineer in the transport, energy and building infrastructure sectors. Azam is experienced in conceptual design; FEED, detailed design and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects, brown field modifications and structural integrity management.  He has special interest in steel and concrete design.

These globally coordinated projects sharpened her ability to manage complex stakeholder engagement and drive integrated design delivery. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Graduate Diploma in Construction Project Management from Unitec Institute of Technology in Auckland, and is a certified member of the New Zealand Institute of Architects.

Dr. Danial is a Geotechnical Engineer with over 17 years of experience in research, consultancy, and technical support across a range of engineering and design projects.

He has contributed to infrastructure developments in Australia, New Zealand, and other regions, working on projects across various stages including feasibility, detailed design, and construction. His work has spanned both public and private sectors, and he has been involved in multidisciplinary teams delivering practical and technically sound outcomes.

His areas of specialisation include ground improvement design, interpretation of geotechnical parameters, slope stability and settlement analysis, and seismic site response analysis and liquefaction assessment.

Dr Mazin Alhamrany is a Chartered Engineer with over 35 years of experience in leading geotechnical and tunnelling design teams and managing major projects in the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. He is a specialist in the field of applications of Finite Element Method for tackling complex soil-structure interaction problems.

Before joining Geoporte, Mazin has previously contributed to the geotechnical and tunnel design of major international projects in the Middle East such as Mega Reservoirs in Doha, Doha Metro, Doha Expressway, Inner Doha Re-sewerage Implementation Strategy (IDRIS), Riyadh Metro, Strategic Tunnel Enhancement Programme (STEP) in Abu Dhabi and Etihad Rail (UAE).

In the UK, Mazin has also contributed to the design of major projects in the United Kingdom such as the Tottenham Court Road Station Upgrade, Gerrard’s Cross re-design, Thames Link Borough Viaduct, Blackfriars Bridge, East London Line (Dalston station) and the Crossrail Project (Farringdon Station and Pudding Mill Lane Portal).

Earlier while in the Netherlands, Mazin had worked on technically challenging projects acorss Europe, such as the High-Speed Line Project between Amsterdam and Paris and the North-South Metro Line underneath Amsterdam Central Station Building.
